What have you learned about love?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 13, 2009:
That it's often not what I think it is...that love is action, not ideas....that it's not hearts & flowers, but changing diapers and wiping a forehead that's clammy from throwing up....that it's accepting people for who they are right now, not who I'd like them to be or who they might one day be...
David Byrne - Like Humans Do (Live at Union Chapel)[11]

Now that’s love! Thank you for this, Janet.
Oh that is love….that accepting….and so hard sometimes. Because we don’t understand where another is coming from or we want it to be different. Expectations…. Good answer, Janet.
I so appreciated David Byrne’s intro, what he said about people being from Mars, but loving them anyway.
Thanks for stopping by:-)
Point on Janet. Thanks
Love is real hard work at times, not just romantic fantasies.
hey Janet, I just love this!
It’s a wonderful world..
1+1=2

dart~ don’t know much about geometry
Simple and to the point… it’s not the fluff, it’s the reality. So true … it’s when I tell my husband he’s got food on his chin because it’s [the chin] been damaged from past surgery & no longer has active nerves! Well put, J!
*hugs*
Ahhh, love as pure acceptance, without judgment or expectations! The REAL stuff love is made of! Hugs, Janetwise!
