Was just having a little convo with Lars and we came to the conclusion
we're a couple of dorks. Let's just stop resisting and celebrate the dorkiness instead. How about you? Are you ready to unleash your inner dweeb?

Help

I'm celebrating my dorkiness with you! Since I teach ESL, I've invited some dorks from Japan to join us in being dorky.
OMG! that's very dweebish!
Damn, i can't see shit through these suckers,, is that you PC? cool let's get the ruler out and show'em how we deal with real Gorillas!!! Oh! Tutu..cuddles?
sorry….no hyperlinks….I know that's dorky….but I'm with you guys. Pure dork. Quite often in fact. :)
Hi everybody !! :))
I've just checked the dictionary and can say I'm the Queen of the Dweebs, yes, but find Dork too strong word, even for weird me….but love talking about silly things now and then ….makes me feel more human….silly human…..LOL
BUT after watching the videos of JANETand PEACE SEEKER, I think the word I had used to describe the people there is FREAK. What do you thing? could it be a sinonyme? Here we use a lot freak word but maybe not apropiately, it all started with the freak reality shows on tv.
And the last thing, JANET, why don't explain us the reason for you to feel dwweb ?, any gossipy intention, just wanting to learn about words….LOL
Awwww….I think dorks are just SUPER. :-D
If that link doesn't work, for goodness' sake…it's Clark Kent aka Superman :-D
You aren't particularly anxious, and you don't count things–but you do notice sometimes that you don't exactly fit in. Polite people would call you an eccentric, but you truly are The Dork! And proud. Just because you feel a little awkward at parties doesn't mean you're not happy with yourself and fairly relaxed.
Your low anxiety score implies that you are able to relax, can enjoy the here and now, and have a healthy amount of self-confidence.
Your high awkwardness score implies that you are socially inept, probably stick out from the crowd, and perhaps feel uncomfortable in large groups of people, such as at parties.
Your low neuroticism score implies that you don't exhibit subtle neurotic behaviors–your nails are probably an acceptable length, your pencils aren't covered with bite marks, and your bookcase isn't arranged alphabetically by genre. Congrats!
BTW.. That is NOT my test result! I just copied it from the place where I stole the icon! ;-P

Kathy, Saa-weeet dorkiness!
Love the Clark Kent, Ariela!
aah Vi, somethings are best kept quiet… the picture tells it all:-)

I'm so glad to finally have the explanation for my dorkiness!!! LOL
Thanks!
This so reminds me of me back in high school..ewww, truth hurts…….
ROTFLMAO…yeah…let's dance…count me in…and thnx for my morining laugh janet! i needed this…lol…love and joy to the dork in all of us…*
omg, I'm realizing dictionary doesn't works to be able to communicate, this is why is difficult for me, sure this makes me a fucking dorky………thanks for teaching me about this interesting vocabulary, see you dorkies…..LOL
Hi…would love to join in, but this icon was the best I could do. Does it work? Or shall I find another? :)
Oh Goody! Dorky Friday! I love the videos, I love Napoleon Dynamite. One of my sons can't find the humor in it and I think it's because he's afraid to face his inner dork!
Here are a couple of my all time favorite dorks
Lisa~ you are free to express your dorkiness as you see fit….that one is pretty cute - like you!
But wasn't this one you caught by the camera? LOL
Ayla~ that's a dorky little gem of a vid- haha!
Thanks, J! I guess the smiley wasn't truly what we were talking about…but now, thanks to what you sent, I'm really dorky! :)
well, I guess I could be “hip.” I just don't wanna.
I'm not sure I'm properly differentiating between dork, dweeb & geek. I think I'm “semi-geek” (not sure of the dork overlap, don't know if I'm perceived as being goofy or crazy: YOG SOTHOTH SAVE ME! THE 3-LOBED BURNING EYE!!! ya know, that sort of thing). Some might say (and they have) that I'm neurotic; but, if someone says there's a problem using a chainsaw (which they did) if you're left-handed (which I am), wouldn't you query further? Why is that neurotic? I MIGHT NEED TO USE A CHAINSAW!
But, I digress…”Hip” is being the real you: dorky, geeky, dweeby, etc.
Rock the real self, everybody! Salutations, Dorkdom!
“He who stumbles around in darkness with a stick is blind; but, he who sticks out in darkness is…florescent!”
Scribe~ thanks for the fun link and for stickin' it out in the dark, or is that dork? with us!
stumblin' dorkily on my way….with you:-)
no prob. may the dork be with you!
For those of you who are interested in the differences between dork, nerd, geek and dweeb, here is a link to the info.
Running late so brrrrrooming in. The spirit of adventure even in my dork side. Who wants a ride?
Thanks for the link PEACE S,
SCRIBE, neurotic means just the state of the mind of a sane person in this crazy world. So, congratulations if you are that. Anyway the word has becamed a little old fashioned, it's a long time since Sigmund S. Freud inevented the expression.
As a true dork, I really appreciate the precision of those distinctions;-)
Mila, I”m on board - just let me get my dorky helmet okay?
Comin through again with a dork dance!!!

NerdTests.com Fun Tests - The Nerd Test, Version 2.0
Archimedes - You really mustn't take your daughter's word for it, especially if she is a teenager. Nichole, I completely failed the nerd test. This doesn't mean that I can't be a dork does it?
91% scored higher (more nerdy),
1% scored the same, and
8% scored lower (less nerdy).
What does this mean? Your nerdiness is:
Definitely not nerdy, you are probably cool.
Where did Lars go anyway? I really loved the animal dances. That ostrich was something else! Hi Darina- long time no talk to !
Okay, now for some more fun in Dorkdom & Nerdsville
LOL Nicole, I did pretty well…or badly…depending :-D
Here's what my end result is:
From this time forward, you'll hold the title:
Cool Nerd Queen
Bahahahahahhahahaaa…I'm so dorky that I like it :-D
ayla, thanks for thinking of me..I had to actually go outside and function as a real live person..Yea,,scary shit out there.
Nico, thanks for the Nerd test, I scored: Highly Dorky High Nerd
Ariela Cool Nerd Queen fits and I like it too.
Gee I wonder what happen to the twisty one? hmmm perhaps I'll find her in the morning with her panties on backwards again…;-)
Sure is nice to see so many of familiar faces.
Ha ha ha! I had to do it too! From this time forward, you'll hold the title:
I'm a “dorky light-weight nerd.”
Peri's neighborhood in Portland is Geek Central, which means it is very creative, up and coming and super cool. I think most of the guys were nerds, dweebs, and dorks in school, but developed into Geeks in college and grad school, and that is considered sexy to the xst generation. Maybe. I just noticed they were sucking down coffee, wearing Elvis Costello glasses, and had even cooler ear phones that the blue tooth.
But what do I know. I am so weird there isn't a name for it.
Are you serious, Lars?
LMAO! I think someone from Gaia is making up names for us…it's an inside job. :-D
How could they be so on point? :-D
Highly Dorky HIGH Nerd? Awwwww come onnnnn!!! :-D Hahahahhaha
Cool Nerd Queen….I sooo dig that :-D
whew! I don't know whether I should be happy or sad, but I failed the nerd test…I am sporting the title of “not nerd” Thanks Nicole!
The dorky animals were great! Dorkina stop by anytime:-)
Doolang- nice to meet you and your gallery - some great ones there1
Archimedes - you cant' always trust your kids on these things they have special dork goggles on that skew their vision;-)
Sherri - so glad to see you
Lars - thanks for coming and keeping an eye on things for me while I was away on important dork business
Hey Daydreamer- lovin' your new name and it's barely dorky at all, hence the light-weight, I guess;-)
I bow to the queen, Ariela…trying to imagine what the queen of dorks uses for her crown….
Thanks to all for coming to be dorky with me.
Miz Carla~ weirdo, dork, geek, nerd…we're all basically misfits right, and maybe that's why we all fit so well together here.
T
Let it be known throughout the land:
I have been proclaimed “Uber Cool High Nerd”
Nerd Tests RoCk!
~Mila! The Cat In The Hat…umm…Helmet….is one of my all time fave pics! Love it! (of course I would, my dork is showing, I know, LOL)
~Ayla~ I love the Ostrich dance too! What a dorky big bird :-D
~Darin! Uber Cool High Nerd? OMG, gotta be a dork to say Uber. :-D
~Janet! I use the same cat helmet as a crown of course. Juicier that way :-D LOL
how did I miss this dork fest. Shit…all the lampshades are gone.
I don't know tom, I dorked over and gave you a personal invite yesterday:-)
It's never too late to pull yer pants up too high and throw on a simple pocket protector- hehe
It just occured to me how my son teases me by calling me madame bouche and when I asked him why, his answer was I just thought the name suits you, no reason and then he giggles in a way that I start to think he's hiding something. So with this blog of yours I was reminded it's time to find out so I googled the name. And to my wonderful surprise, I sense that he meant either that I am a loud mouth or a melodramatic mom (especially when I get upset with him or his dad), or whatever. We sure have something to giggle about when we meet next week - ha, ha, ha!
At least it wasn't “Madame de la Grande Bouche”
Mila- we just have to face it, no matter how cool we are as parents, we'll never be able to stay current with their codes….it's part of how they maintain their end of the power struggle LOL
Darin- I forgot to tell you how much I admire those shorts;-)
you know what they say, shorts make the dork.
